Remove DVD discs from the draw.

Before you can hack the DVD you have to set the command mode of the machine to 1. This is not too difficult. First see if the hack remote works. If the hack remote works (play, pause stop, power etc) then the machine is already on command mode 1.Use the original remote control to go in the setup menu. Locate the command mode / command frequency. Menu option setup >> other >> command freq. Or Initial >> options >> command freq.

You will have to change the command mode of the original remote control too. If it has a switch change to 1. If is doesn't have a switch, hold enter and 1 down together for 10 seconds. Now both the original remote control and the hack remote will be working the DVD.

Leave powered on with - "No Disc" showing.

Hold down on yellow button for 5 seconds then release. Keep pointed at the DVD player

With machines that have a video/hdd recorder; You can open DVD draw (press eject on the machine), hold down yellow, press button on machine to close the draw. When the draw is closed, release the yellow button. This catches the machine in DVD operation mode.

Black and white picture. If the disc now plays but is in black and white or picture is flashing; Go in to the setup menu and change the video output LINE 1 to RGB
